Remember that quote by Samuel Taylor Coleridge in the Rime of the Ancient Mariner “Water, water, everywhere, but not a drop to drink”. Well, Samuel and the mariner both needed to find a drop or two and drink up!

Water is essential to our bodies and our general health and well-being. Did you know that 75% of our body weight is water? You probably already knew that fact from grade school, huh? Today’s topic I want to discuss is hydration, the google definition is: taking in the amount of water your body needs. Did you see that last word? Needs… yes, we truly need water each and every day!
Now, to truly understand something, you should take a moment to examine the counter example, so that would be dehydration. So the definition of dehydration is when water intake is less than water loss. Symptoms can include, but not limited to: *Increased thirst (duh!)
*Dry mouth and swollen tongue *Weakness
Do you know the more serious side affects of being dehydrated? Such as headache, bad mood swings, confusion, fainting, and heart palpitations.
Okay, so if all those reasons above don't sway you into gulping down more aqua... then what about a couple of vain reasons for being hydrated? Better skin, nails, healthier, silkier, more smooth hair, oo, la, la! So drink up!!
So we know we need water.. but get this startling statistic... Of the TOP 10 countries for cleanest tap water in the world, yours truly, good ole USA didn’t make the list! (You probably already knew this if you are following us on facebook too! ;-)
To sum things up, let's do a little equation…
75% of our bodies are water + we must avoid dehydration (hence…this means stay hydrated) + no clean TAP WATER (and don’t get me started on why bottled water isn't the solution) = YOU GUESSED IT!
FILTERED WATER!!
