Hopefully you enjoyed the fireworks and had a hot dog with all the fixins because I'm here to tell you the fourth has came and passed!

Can you believe August is knocking at our door?

Well, don't let summer slipping away make you feel blue, because I've got 5 summer fun drinks you can help you still feel festive for summertime, stay hydrated and hey, we are still in the 90 and 100 degree weather, so help cool you off too!

#1: LEMON BASIL SUN TEA:

-8 to 10 tea bags (I prefer 10 tea bags for a fuller tasting tea)

-12 cups of FILTERED WATER

-2 lemons

-1 large bunch of fresh basil

-1 cup sugar (or your choice of sweetener)

-Ice cubes to fill your jar

*Put all ingredients in jar and set outside in the morning on a hot, sunny day and come back in late afternoon/evening and pour over filtered ice cubes in your favorite cup and enjoy!

**A tip from my hubby: put tea bags in with top of tea bag held out of jar by jar lid for easy removal when tea is ready! ;-)

over FILTERED ICE CUBES!

#3: SPA water:

- 1 cucumber cut in slices -1 lemon thinly sliced

*This is as simple as it come and oh, so tasty! Literally cut the 2 ingredients & let soak in FILTERED WATER in fridge and serve over filtered ice! The longer it soaks, the better it tastes!

Tip: just change out cucumber & lemon every 2 days to keep it fresh!

Recipe taken from my brain and spa experiences! ;-)

#4:Ocean Water in a Jar:

Lastly This next one is so fun and looks cool, sure to impress the kids!

-12 ounces of lemon-lime soda or sparkling water -3 drops of blue food coloring -3 TBSP of sugar -1 tsp coconut water (optional)

-3 TBSP of FILTERED WATER

*Mix these fun ingredients in a mason jar or cool individual glass and serve with swedish fish to kids and adults with your toes in the sand at the beach! ;-)

Lastly, if you are more like my hubby and you long for FALL and don't mourn the passing of summer like me, here's a yummy recipe to get in the mindset for cooler, breezy weather!

#5: The Cinnamon Apple:

- Cinnamon -Granny smith apples

-Filtered water

-Ground Ginger

*Combine all ingredients in a 1 Gallon Jug and let sit in fridge or out in sun awhile and then add filtered ice cubes!

Tips from the recipe creator: * Some have tried boiling water with the apples and cinnamon and have gotten more flavor, then adding in the ice water etc and putting in the fridge. Some have put outside like ice tea to release flavors. * I use a 1 Gallon Jug (I actually double my recipe since I like a lot of flavor)

Some people don't like Cinnamon - Suggestions Ginger, Orange, Vanilla Bean or whatever you like but you won't get the total benefit of this recipe if you switch.
